This fund has been created to help Schipperke Owners handle emergencies after hours and on weekends, when one's regular vet is unavailable and only cash or credit cards are accepted by emergency vet clinics.

The fund was named in memory of a Schipperke who lost his life due to those policies and the lack of cash or credit card availability during the emergency.

All assistance through the Shadow Fund is considered to be a loan and it is expected that the owners will pay the money back over time. Support for the fund ensures that there is money available whenever the need arises.

The Shadow Fund is NOT a 501(c)3 designated fund and, therefore, donations are not tax deductible at this time. HOWEVER, donations are gratefully accepted to help ensure that emergency funds are available at all times.
