Remember, just because a dog has no collar or is found running loose, does not mean that the owner does not love or care for the dog properly.  Schips are notorious escape artists and love to chase small animals and investigate interesting smells.  They have slipped collars, darted through legs, opened doors and windows, squeezed through the tiniest of holes, dug under or climbed solid and well-installed fences, moved concrete blocks and other amazing feats just out of their insatiable curiosity.  Please don't assume their slaves don't want them back.  There are many tears being shed for each of the dogs listed here.

This little one was found running around the VERY busy intersection of Beverly and Pico in West Los Angeles, (on I believe August 7) in mid afternoon traffic.  Luckily, a client of the vet turned it over to rescue was walking her two small dogs and the Schip came running up to them.  The lady walked all over the area with the dog and asked gardeners, children, mailmen, pool guys, etc. (anyone she met) and no one had ever seen the dog before.  She has looked every day and has never seen any posters for lost dogs.

We've put posts all over the internet and placed ads in two newspapers.  Also notified all the vets and shelters in the area.  The Schip was found about a week ago, but no responses yet.  Several people have returned repeatedly to the area where the dog was found, and have seen no posters, etc.  My friend Dee swears she has seen a lady walking this Schip on Beverly Blvd.   We're hoping that the owner might be on vacation and that's why we don't have any response, but you'd think if there was a dog sitter, etc. involved, THEY would be frantically searching for this little guy.

It's very obvious this one was very well loved, and loved someone much.  Doesn't know a stranger and is one of the most cuddly little Schips ever.  Loves riding in the car, and aside from the fact that they can be very vocal (howling, barking to get something, a little anxiety type noise), is a perfect little angel.  Housetrained, loves the other dogs, uses a doggy door, acts like walks are a common thing.

If your dog is missing in that area, please contact schipstar@aol.com to see if this baby might belong to you.
